MEDICAL CARE AT HOME
Domiciliary medical care means any medical care provided at the patient's home by the medical practitioner with training in the field, which contributes to the improvement of his condition.
Home medical care includes medical interventions provided in accordance with the National Standard of Home Care, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova.
Home health care recipients are people with advanced disease and / or major surgery who have a certain level of addiction and limited ability to move to a healthcare facility.
Depending on the state and degree of dependence, the beneficiaries of home health care can be:
Ø Total dependent - the patient who can not perform three or more basic daily activities without the help of another person and needs medical care.
Ø Partially dependent - the patient who can not perform at least two basic daily activities without the help of another person and due to his / her state of health needs medical attention.
Ø Independent - Patient who performs basic daily activities without the help of another person but who, due to chronic illness, requires home medical care.
Providing health care services at home
Domiciliary healthcare services are provided by medical institutions irrespective of the form of ownership, accredited in the given field, according to the legislation in force of the Republic of Moldova.
Patient identification is done by the patient's family doctor at the place of residence, based on criteria given by the physician, based on existing pathologies and degree of addiction.
Treatment and maneuvers are performed on the basis of family doctor's prescriptions and recommendations.
